Currently the Chairman and CEO of PAG, a leading Asia-focused investment group, he has shaped landmark deals across the region. Prior to PAG, Dr. Shan was Co-Managing Partner of TPG Asia and held senior positions at J.P. Morgan and the Wharton School. His lived experience—having been sent to perform hard labor in the Gobi Desert during China’s Cultural Revolution before earning a Ph.D. at UC Berkeley—offers a rare vantage point that bridges history, finance, and resilience.
